The Sales Audit Specialist is responsible for auditing and balancing daily sales and cash deposits for multiple the company's locations; providing reports and trend analysis; making journal entries and monitoring data for accuracy; and performing all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by Management. This is a non-exempt position and typically reports to the Department Manager.

Essential Functions:
  • Identifies, researches and resolves daily sales and cash variances
  • Performs transaction edits
  • Makes corrective journal entries using Balance
  • Generates analytical reports and provides appropriate trend analysis
  • Ensures that the cash over & short reports are accurate and delivered on a timely basis
  • Meets weekly, monthly, and period end deadlines
  • Ensures that the sales data in Portal, Balance and General Ledger are in sync every period
  • Effectively communicates, both verbally and in writing, with a broad range of customers

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:
  • Requires a High School diploma or general education development (GED) diploma; Associate's degree or higher preferred
  • Requires 2-4 years of job related experience; 1-2 years sales audit & reconciliation experience preferred; and journal entry experience a plus
  • Requires proficiency in Microsoft Excel; PeopleSoft Financials skills preferred
  • Requires ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
  • Requires basic keyboarding or other repetitive motions
  • Requires strong oral and written communication skills
